Having the desire to serve God and His church is a flame which must not be quenched. When It's important to pay attention when God impresses these desires upon your heart. God uses people who are willing to serve others who have a hunger for him. 

Have a one on one conversation with God in prayer and ask for his help. Speak to your Pastor or Group Leader about your desire to serve and make yourself available for fellowship to enable you grow that desire through His Word.

Volunteer with the department where you would like to serve and commit with a cause.

Over time you will notice how God keeps increasing his grace upon your life and enables you serve through the Joy of the holy Spirit.

Romans 12:1
I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.

1 Corinthians 15:58
Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.

Matthew 6:24
“No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.”

James 1:27
